club owns a 1978 Cessna 172N Skyhawk, is IFR equipped. The plane
has about 3400 hours TTSN, and is equipped with a Lycoming 0320

a re-manufactured engine. In April 2007, a brand new Garmin GPS

very active in flying instruction. The plane is used for both student
instruction, and member rental. The plane rents for $95.00 / hour
wet, and requires club membership, and a checkout by the club before
renting. The plane was repainted in January 2003.
The
club always welcomes new members. There are two types of membership.
A Flying membership, and a Non Flying
Membership.
A
Flying Membership
requires a current medical, (renters insurance is well advised),
a check out in the plane, and of course a one time non refundable
membership fee of $250.00, and monthly dues of $16. Membership includes
all of the non flying member privileges. There is also the hourly
wet cost of the airplane. We are using an Online Scheduling
system at AircraftClubs.com.
A
Non Flying Membership
is $35 per year. It includes a 15 cent per gallon discount on fuel
sales, an invitation to the club meetings, held at the airport every
second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m, and the club picnic held
at the Loeb State Park, 8 miles up the Chetco River from Brookings
usually held the 4th weekend in September on Sunday. All food
and beverages are supplied by the club.
